Matteo Albavetti, the heart behind Your Vino, is one of the best Florentine sommeliers and an agronomist.
With a deep-rooted passion for Tuscany and fine wine, he shares his knowledge and love for the region, introducing you to the stories behind some of the world’s greatest bottles, crafted by small, dedicated winemakers.
Born and raised in Florence, Matteo is an agronomist by training, but his true passion is wine. After years of working as an agronomist in Madagascar and the United States, he decided to fully dedicate himself to offering visitors a unique experience in his homeland.
Upon returning to Tuscany, he rediscovered his deep appreciation for Italian food and wine, which led him to create Your Vino, realizing that Tuscany, with its unparalleled landscapes, food, and, most importantly, its wines, is truly a special place.
Matteo’s mission is to provide his guests with an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience, allowing them to discover Tuscany like a true local.
He takes them to small, family-run wineries, where they can taste rare and exceptional wines that are hard to find anywhere else in the world.
Matteo loves sharing stories about wine and the rediscovery of ancient grape varieties, creating a deep connection between his guests and the land.
Additionally, Matteo emphasizes the importance of learning to taste wine in a simple and enjoyable way, without overlooking the significance of food and wine pairing.
For him, this combination is what makes Italy the perfect place to visit and fully experience, making every moment unique and unforgettable.
